EMPOWERING SURVIVORS OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING TO ACHIEVE ECONOMIC INDEPENDENCE THROUGH SUSTAINABLE CAREERS.
Did you know that 70% of Human Trafficking survivors do not have a stable income and fall under the poverty line within two years of escape? Typically, after a survivor finds an exit from Human Trafficking, they are initially provided with a recovery program. However, what happens once the survivor has finished their programs and is ready to begin living independently?
Survivors of human trafficking face significant challenges in achieving financial stability, often struggling with employment gaps, lack of formal education, or a criminal record—barriers that are direct consequences of their trafficking experiences. Without access to sustainable career opportunities, many are left vulnerable to poverty and even re-exploitation.
Queens Arise bridges this gap by offering survivors the education, mentorship, and professional tools they need to build lasting, independent careers.
Comprehensive Career Training
Queens Arise offers a customizable career training program with three stages to guide survivors to their dream career:
STAGE 1: Career Basics & Exploration. During this stage, survivors are paired with a mentor and begin job-preparedness. Students complete foundational units and earn certifications in the Google Workplace suite, professional etiquette and customer service.
STAGE 2: Formal Education. Students select complete accredited courses and can earn career diplomas and certifications, either through our partner Penn-Foster, or through Queens. Available areas of study include Medical Assistant, Administrative Assistant, Pharmacy Tech Professional, Dental Assistant, Veterinary Assistant, IT Support Specialist and Caterer. Students can also choose the Queens’ proprietary entrepreneurship program.
STAGE 3: Career Readiness & Employment Launch. Upon completing their formal education, survivors work one-on-one with our staff to customize their resumes, work on interview preparation and are guided through the application process.
Real Impact, Real Careers
Graduates of Queens Arise have gone on to secure full-time roles in high-demand professions. Some work directly with our program or our hiring partners, while others have independently launched careers.
Our vision for the future is a world where every survivor has the opportunity to experience a community that supports their journey through education and mentorship on their path to lifelong financial stability.
Queens Arise isn’t just about training—it’s about transformation. By equipping survivors with the skills, confidence, and support they need. We empower them to reclaim their futures and achieve long-term economic independence.
